Missing Tns 310 2005/6 Disc

I,ve just bought a 2005 Avensis with a TNS 300 Sat Nav. The trouble was I was sold the car without the disc, having been told it was a doddle to replace. Yes I know!

I have since landed on the real world and am now faced with a stonking bill from Toyota of nearly £160.00 or trying to get a second hand one. The (first) problem is that I don't know for certain that the DVD unit actually works - is there any way to test it without the appropriate disc? I am not hopeful here. Or (secondly) has anybody upgraded and has an old disc they want to sell?

Ideally I would like to borrow a disc, to try the unit out, before splashing out money, that after buying the car, I can't really afford.

This is my first Toyota and for what appears to be a pretty basic Sat Nav update, ( The system is basic as well) the prices seem astronomic.

Toyota tell me the 2005/6 TNS 310 software would be fine, apparently it upgrades the unit to that software, but I don't know.

I have looked on eBay but the sellers seem to have little idea of what they are actually selling and won't take returns if it is no good.

Well I post this more in hope than anticipation.

Hi i dont have a disc too sell but you can try mine out if you like, mine is the colour sat nav version on dvd but im pretty certain its the same disc, any way if you want to im around stansted airport if its not so far from you....if you decide to but it search for toyota map updates the disc costs only around £115 please buy the disc though, copying it only makes it more expensive for us all in the long run, if you want to try it pm me and we can sort something out.
