Hiya folks

Can anyone help with this one just bought my 52 plate T sport 2 weeks ago and now my back and front brake's are making a terrible squeaking noise. My pal stripped my front brakes down and copper greased them and all was fine for a day or two and the pads look near new but once again the annoying squeak is back! Any suggestions

cheers

mmm... change the pads? maybe they are worn on the backing and moving around. if they are the OE pads, they squeak when they get a bit older, i found blitzing them with a karcher helps.

do your mate remove the sliders from the boots or did he just grease the bolts? i remove the sliders from the boots and clean them followed by a buff with a fine wire brush attachment on a drill. i also remove the boots and clean and grease where the sliders sit. when you say they were fine for a couple of days it leads me to think they werent cleaned/greased correctly or the copper grease was low quality - i am presuming its constant and not just when you apply the brakes?

its just the brakes binding - you may have warped the disc from the excess heat that builds up. you dont need to be mechanically minded to clean/regrease caliper sliders. you'll probably do a better job as well. buy a manual and give it a go? jack the front of the car up and spin the wheel - if it only catches on one point of the rotation the discs are warped.

By they way...

Does anybody knows which is the Brembo part # in order to replace the discs/rotors of the Corolla Tsport?

I'm thinking of switching from Toyota discs to Brembo.

Thanks for your help.... :toast:

Cheers!
