I've been having a perusal through all the Toyota Tech Guides (or How To's) and came across the Aygo Soundpack Demo Switchbox (Part No. PZ457-90260-00)

What is this? I'm trying to have a look at it on the manual but the drawing isn't all that clear - what does it do?

As for the Subwoofer (Part No. 08691-00834) has anyone fitted this in their car? If so how good is it?

And finally has anyone fitted a Toyota Motorsport Rear Silencer at all? Does it sound good? And if no-one knows what's the best backbox to get?

apparently it sounds good.. but really expensive. best to have a custom one made up dont think any company makes backboxes for Aygo's yet.. However if you fit an Air filter/Induction kit it can make Aygo's sound unreal.

The demo-box is meant for dealers, to illustrate the difference in sound between the Basic and Plus and with or without the

subwoofer. It basically disconnects the leads for the front tweeters and the power for the sub with the flick of a switch.

I'm not sure if it also switches the rear Speakers too...

As for the subwoofer; it's WAY too expensive. You can get a Pioneer TS-WX11A for half the money and

it sounds great. Fits under the passenger seat fine, still leaving enough room for rear passengers' feet.

How much does that sub cost and how difficult is it to install?

Installation took me about two hours, but YMMV with experience. I used the AIM for the official sub as a guideline, but had

to come up with my own mounting brackets to mount it. If you want I can post some pictures made during installation...

It cost me €169 including P&P from Germany to The Netherlands, so I'd say it would cost about £135 in the UK.

hmm id still much rather have an official dealer stick it in and me not destroy the car.

You could also opt for having one installed by an audio-installer.

That way you'd have warranty from them and still be out less money...

I have one of these - didnt mount with brackets, instead used lots of velcro !

For suppliers, try http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/products/shops...ntry/index.html

Give them a call and ask for a fitted price.

I was quoted £150 and £200 fitted, but in the end I got a new headunit and fitted it myself (£120 supply only).

Belfast is on there...
