Most cars have one motor that spins in opposite directions for front and rear, but I think the Avensis is one of the few exceptions IIRC from the last time this came up. I think both are pushed into the bottom of the water bottle. Access to that may be easy, or difficult depending on what's around it. If you can't get access then on many cars the solution is to go in through the wheel arch liner but I can't say for definite that that is the way to do it on the Avensis.

Beware - when you do get access and remove the pump the liquid in the washer bottle will all drain out.

To check whether it's a pump problem or a blocked hose or nozzle you can swap the pipes over to see where the problem then lies.

hi

the motor is single but you probably have got a problem with nozzle clogging due to a rear part of the car is always dirt.

please also check with condition of water plastic tank on deposits presence on the bottom. to be saved from such problem I always pour (winter concentrate + water) and proportioin is such that all system is clean all year round. you solve two problems as cleanning of sytem and freezing temp (-20 C). it is my opinion.
