right lads ...eventually we ruled out the timing the boost the spark air fuel system an tyhe rest of the other crack . oh and the wire to and from the sensor! looks like im in need of a knock sensor ! where wud be the cheapest place to get my hands on one ...my toy main dealer is a pain in the ring to go through too!!! cheers lads oh an how much roughly!!!

check that your Knock sensor is very very tight cos if they are a little loose they can pick up vibrations n think it's knock,

i would try TB Developments or Twosrus (uk site) or any of the other mr2 specialists, get some prices and compare what you get.

I have a spare used knock sensor that isnt faulty, if you want to make me an offer inc postage

as mrs mo says, you need to torque it to the correct figures really of 44Nm

and you need to find why the knock sensor blew, i take it you have done an error code check to make sure its an issue, i believe knock is error 52
