Sienna Radio

Next problem with my 2000 Sienna with the 6 disc changer the Radio, CD or Tape will not operate when the tempurature is below 40 deg. It plan is dead until the Van warms up then we hear a Pop and Presto (We have the Radio Back and On as well) It was fine in the summer but not so good in Colorado in the winter(grin).

Toyota wanted $800.00 for the Radio plus labor, the extendend Warrente leaves the Radio out. I have located an Panasonic (Mashusta (Spelling)) service shop in the area and they will repair the radio for much less. I have removed the radio, but they told me that there is an Amp that needs to be removed as well. I don't know where this item is at, the repairman that handles Toyota is out on Vacation, does anyone know where to find the amp for the Radio?

This Van has sure had it's share of Electrical Problems, the Power door has been repaired twice, the Radio has these strange problems, the Tire Pressure sensors have been repaired many times and seem better now but I am worried when the Warrentee runs out.

Thanks for the Help,

Ron
