Lack Of Performance

Hi.

Got very little power from engine. It drops off as the revs increase.

Pulling in higher gears is just about ok, you can feel and hear the turbo working.

I have changed the Air Mass Sensor and removed the EFI fuse for the required time but problem remains.

Checked all turbo pipes and intercooler - all seem perfect. New fuel filter and air filter fitted last week before this problem

started.

in case you feel the engine's performance is OK then please conside the following:

in case you state "high gears" -- what did you mean?? are they 4th + 5th??? As you know the torque for these gears is less then 1st-3rd -- agree???

you drive OK with high gear -- then i presume the problem is only with friction disc belong to clutch ---- it is either worn down or you might have another problem with oil leak from aft crankshaft O-seal --- in other words the oil is being come/flashed to a friction disc and gets reduced friction ratio at low gears torque. the above is correct iin case your engine is in fact iin good order.

Thanks for replying.

The clutch is in good order, in fact it had a new flywheel and clutch last year all genuine Toyota.

It is a boost pressure/fueling/electronic type problem.
