  1. 1. Is a subwoofer in an MR2 acceptable?

    • Of course, needn't fret!

Well what a way to spend a friday evening, instead of doing like the rest of the locals round here and blowing their money on bad booze in worse pubs, i've gone and bought me a new subwoofer and amp combo!!

I think to myself (ok, so my nearest and dearest nag me about it) should I really be getting a sub in a car like an MR2, is it the done thing? or should I just grow up? ;)

Looks like i'm onto a winner here!

I'm gonna be trying desperatly to get it finished for the 8th of June so I can open my handywork up to critisism at the rolling road day at well lane. Hopefully it'll be complete with new head unit and maybe, finances allowing some new door Speakers.

CFC1 - Did you do the install? It looks bloomin marvelous. Just going over in my head about how to fix the mdf board to the cubby hole whilst keeping the drilling down to a minimum? But also making it secure enough so as not to vibrate all the time. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Roof down and music blasting! Roadster suits the upgrade, what else is the space for?!

Absolutely.

The roadster has so much spare space that it would be a crime not to use some of it for an ICE installation.

I only fitted the headunit myself.. the rest of the work was carried out by my local Audio Dealer (Skidz - Falkirk)

All the best of Luck with your install.. hope it turns out the way you hope it will

A bit of enthusiasm is a dangerous thing. But i'm determined to do as much of the work to my car as possible. I can't wait for the finished product already but there'll be some blood, sweat and tears to come first. All to be ready before the 8th of June, so watch this space. :D
