First 'concern'

Hello again. So far so good, but...........

What the hell is all that excessive clicking I hear when my Rav 4 comes to a stop. I imagine it is the engine cooling down, but really seems to go on for a while.

My van doesnt make this noise. Is it normal or am I being paranoid?

the only noise i get similar to that is the exhaust heat shield cooling down

its like a crackling tinckling noise

Heat sheilds on the exhaust manifold and under the vehicle can click on cool down.

Thanks for reply. Actually, I have now noticed that my van does do this too, but right now I my used-car-paranoia has heightened my hearing!!
