Engine Swapping

I have a 88 corolla SR5. Does anyone know if a Corolla GTS engine would fit in my SR5? What is the difference between the two?

I believe that your SR5 will be the 4A-FC/E engine and the GT-S has the 4A-GE engine in it, the 4A-GE engines have approx. 115-125bhp stock and 16 valves, fuel injection, TVIS system etc.

You will nedd to do some fairly major wiring mods to get the engine to run cos i think that your standard engine is a carby?!

Mechanically the GT-S motor will fit straight in.
