should be getting typhoon induction kit today. Can any one tell me whether they had any problems installing as i dont want to go to a garage. Does the typhoon fit easily in the T sport ? i noticed on the standard one there are ecu plugs. Do these go in the typhoon ?

If there is a step by step guide any where ?

Also heard that the batttery may need disconnecting and do you need to reset ecu when you have put the kit in ? if so how is this done ?

the instructions they come with are pretty good , you will ahve to remove Battery tho as u need to get to the air feed to remove it , you'll also be left with a pipe left over so dont panic about that ! and yes the air flow meter attaches to the kit . its pretty easy to do ,i did mine myself . the ecu will reset itself with the first few miles u do .

you do get step by step instruction's with them an there not bad actually, pictures aren't the best, yes do disconnect the Battery, the only issue is that the wire's for air mass don't quite reach, all i done was take the bundle of wire out the clip near the bulkhead of engine bay which gave it enough movement to fit in, just becareful not to strech the wire's

good luck

i didn't remove the Battery cos i didn't take out the air feed pipe as it points straight at the cone

You can download the instructions onto PDF, just have a search on the web.

My advice: Fit the Mass Air Sensor on to the pipe before you fit the pipe throttle body, the instructions tell you to do it the other way around. This way your not stretching the MAS to meet the pipe. I hope this makes sense!

I have an Updated PDF file telling you how to connect the Typhoon to Facelift and Pre-Facelift models, as it's slightly different for the Facelift models.

If you have a Facelift and the sheets in your box aren't updated, give me a PM and I'll send it over.

The easiest way to reset the ECU I find it taking out the 2 15Amp fuses for a few seconds and the replacing. If you dont connect your Typhoon correctly your Warning lights willcome on quite often.

I too fitted it myself as it is pretty easy to do. (though it did take me an hour) I also didn't remove my Battery and left the intake tube there as I figured it'd bring air to the filter easier.

Wish I'd had an updated PDF as I found the pics quite hard to fathom - they're just a tad too grainy

Luckily I had my mechanic/ 12 year old brother to help!
