These are usually in the 1st part of the exhaust between the manifold and cat. I had a car that was reporting a faulty sensor when it was only the leads to the sensor that had become disconnected.

found it and removed it.my celica idles between 700-1000 revs with the needle constantly movin up and down

is this tee lamda sensor??????
