Was filling up at the wekend and saw an advert at our local Shell. For one day only (Wed) they are selling V power at the same price as regular unleaded. Not sure if this is a countrywide promotion or not?

The only Thunder Grey T sport I seen was parked up on Evington Road a few weeks back and see one sometimes on Soar Valley Way...was it yours? Mine is pre-facelift 5-door but has been lowered and has side skirts. Where did you see me?

Well i'm a site manager for Shell down in Gloucestershire and I havn't heard anything! They did, however, do exactly the same thing just after V-Power came out to raise awareness/prove how good it was so it has been done before. V-Power sales have dropped recently, at my site at least, in relation to overall unleaded sales so Shell could be planning on revitalising the brand in some areas.

They did have a similar thing planned for V-Power Diesel when it was released recently, we have all the special merchandise still though and it never happened!

I drive down Soar valley way every day matey you were possibly behind me one morning?

Its Quality not quantity ;) Will definately keep an eye out for you though, if i remember rightly didnt you turn off into Grove Park? (i work in there you see)

Yeah, I work at Centrica. I live in Evington, the last part of my journey is from Grace Road, up Aylestone and Lutterworth Road, then left at the traffic lights down Soar Valley Way. SVW is a great road don't you think? Especially as the three lanes merge into two......its great to hit lift on the outside lane, take everyone on and cut in at the end

Then you remember how expensive petrol is and take your foot of the right pedal :(

Yeah, I work at Centrica. I live in Evington, the last part of my journey is from Grace Road, up Aylestone and Lutterworth Road, then left at the traffic lights down Soar Valley Way. SVW is a great road don't you think? Especially as the three lanes merge into two......its great to hit lift on the outside lane, take everyone on and cut in at the end

Then you remember how expensive petrol is and take your foot of the right pedal :(

Haha totally SVW is the highlight of my day until yesterday i didnt spot a Police X5 but then the guy in the Alfa in front was going way faster so i was ok ;) i work in the NDC across the road matey my Company has a workshop which i run there servicing the fleet of BG Laptops and P2's ;) join aylestone just before Grace road so practically do the same journey ;) your the only other CTS driver that has waved at me lol :)

Just dont hit that corner halfway down at stupid speeds i did it once very late at night and nearly had a bit of an off :S

Actually, I think I did hit that bend a bit too fast once - defo a hairy moment - wont be doing that again

We should have a Leicester meet - all two of us :P
