Hello People...

Well I am giving the above away. Its got barely any rust on it except for the sunroof.

It has the following faults with it and I dont drive enough to get them fixed. Bear in mind its now 18-19 years old and starts first time every time, even on a cold winters day so the engine is in pretty good shape.

It has the following wrong with it

Slow puncture on rear tyre

Rear boot lining needs securing

Rear boot seal needs repairing

Pops out of 5th gear and I think the gear box is on its way out

I think something is wrong with one of the wheel bearings

It may need a new timing belt soon, but thats usual maintainance.

Now I know its a long shot but I really dont want to scrap this car, it would be great for spares or repair the engine still has plenty of oomph, its very reliable and I'd drive it to the top of scotland and back tomorrow knowing it would just keep on going.. It passed the MOT last year and the guy at the garage just couldnt believe how easily it passed with minor faults. I havent used it much since then. I absolutely adore this car but I cant see it go to the graveyard.

Its Motd till June and the tax has just been renewed for 6 months hence price.

So, does anyone fancy a project? All i want for it is the price of the tax..

Hiya - not in need of a spare car ( no space ) but would you have a haynes manual and/or an owners handbook to get rid of ? Mine's the 1990 1.6 exec model which is about the same age of 18/19 years old

Hi Mate. I have the Bog Standard owners manual from my 89 1.6 Executive, which I have had to have crushed. Was keeping for spares , but lack of space etc.

I see yours is an Auto. My present (& late lamented one) were manual, but this manual covers all. It is dated 88 for an 89 car, but I see that the one for my 91 car is dated 90.

If it is of any use to you, pm me with your full address, & I will bung it in the post to you f.o.c.
