The Corolla 1.4 oil filter will fit but it should be the larger/taller filter rather than the very small 1.4 filter

Part numbers for 1.4/1.6 90915-YZZJ1

Part numbers for T Sport 90915-YZZJ2

You should have the correct filter fitted as it holds a little more oil in it, this could be an issue long term if the smaller filter is fitted

tnx m8

by the way, what do you mean by "this could be an issue long term", could there be any problems until next oil change?

I think my mechanic fited one for the 1.4/1.6 from blueprint

When a manufacturer makes an oil filter to suit a particular car, they make it with a specific specification in mind. A larger filter means it will hold a little more oil and might help getting the oil to where it needs to be after standing for a while, if they could get away with one type of filter they would, so why do they make so many different types? well it is so they can apply an exact spec to a particular model. I'm sure in the long term you should have the correct filter fitted

ok m8 i'll fit the bigger one then ;)

Still I don't undertstand very well the advantages of having a bigger filter, isn't the work of the oil pump, to pump the necessary oil. If anyone knows.

Thank you
