wondering if anyone can help when i pump my brakes the idle seems to increase then go really low and almost stall and it also happens if i press my diff lock button as if there is not enough vacuum being made is there a way to check.

I really can't remember - but if you are thinking down this track, check the air intake hoses for cracks/splits - it should idle around 800 with a fluctuation when you put load on the engine.

The obvious answer is to stop mucking around, and put an end to pressing the diff lock switch whilst pressing the brake pedal up and down. If you do need to practice sxl activities, its safer in/on a bed.......

All petrols do that if you pump the brake. Don't worry about it. The 4WD on the 4.1 is vac operated and effectively does the same as pumping the brake (uses vacuum).
