I love the corolla...its something different, my first car was a peugeot but it was just a run around after my driving test. The real first car i beleive was my corolla. Fabulous car and i love it, its subtle yet when you look at it from a degree it looks aggresive. Its nothing over, however it still has appeal.

The one thing i wanted when i chose the car was the fact that im a young driver, insurance is a large issue. The corolla was really reasonable to insure and in all honesty came with tons of kit.

I decided ill throw money onto the car obviously not all the racing modifications not my thing but having it looking sharp was a defo.

I loved the fact it drove so well, for a small litre car you do get kick, the engine is powerful for its size. and its so versatile the car can get tons of people in !

I decided my insurance is coming down i want a t sport, Facelift model would love a compressor but the problem is hard to find and they are pricey, I wouldnt want a type r ever so common. Yea mite be a little faster but depends how you drive one it all depends on the driver you can set them to track l imit paces on a road regardless. But the t sport is understated and i like that so cut to the chase....No long r ubbish im going to get one!

So after a lovely story any idea if someone would part exchange a facelift t sport etc or a nice one to look out for!

I can totally relate after being in exactly the same situation when I was a bit younger, and I guess cheaper car insurance is one of the only perks of getting older!

I couldn't agree more on the Corolla though, it's very good at what it does - I'm really impressed with the T-Sport! So are you going to strip your car back keeping the mods for the next one, or are you starting with new ideas??

corolla ~ relatively low insurance, and quite fast (fastest speed i reachedof my corolla 1.6 is 125miles/ hour) , i have only added induction kit to it. Also i have race a standard MR2 (lady driver), the corolla is equally fast (if i am correct MR2 is 2.0, but my corolla is 1.6 :P) . also it is as quick as civic EK vti , and faster than a VW beetle

the draw back is that, it doesnt feel as fast as it should be,

sit in my mate EK vti, it feels fast, but actually its acceleration is same as corolla, maybe the seats are too lower in the civic

you had 125mph in yr 1.6 now that is very good aint it, guess it took a while to get there but thats spot on.

im guessing you mean the mk3 mr2 ? theyre 1.8vvti, two of my workmates have them. tsport goes ahead easily with these im suprised yr 1.6 can keep up with one though they will be a lot lighter and theyre rear wheel drive. or do you mean the mk2 2.0 non turbo in that case i dont know much about them :D

Im gonna put it back to original but all the body like lips and side skirts came with the car aparts from the tte front lip so ill leave that. The original toyota corolla alloys will go back on and thats bout it i mite sell my alloys as i wana get a grey t sport facelift with black wheels... but ill see

The gray with the black wheels sounds cool! B) I really like black wheels too, I think they look different from the norm. You're selling it with the TTE bumper?! :o Thought you'd have kept that bad boy!! I'm saving my pennies for the TTE bumper and back box myself! :D

I'm not being a meanie like mate, but my dad had the 1.6 Corolla last before his Avensis, but they'll not be able to keep up with/ out run an MR2 - still a great car though!! I've had several over the years, the 2.0 NA isn't in the same league as the GTS (Insane car!!!!) or GT turbo, but still has a fair amount of go in them. Unless it was a really old spoilerless MK2, which were mega slow with something daft like 130BHP as standard!

"i had a dodgy buyer pay from paypal unconfirmed address £800 fone new it was dodgy accepted it didnt send the phone lol

sent a empty box with paper in it to get postage proof and because of paypal and ebays lack of knowledge of the fraudulent transaction i fort stuff u im going to mess the fraudulent guy, paypal and every1 who dare come in my way this time lol. Money in my account withdrew it to the bank took it all out and told em all to get lost when the charge back came. Showed them the postage print off label and they harrased me done my head in for the money back been a year now and they have left me. Great £800 i got a clean record they havent done anything gave paypal a good piece of my mind down the fone showed them postage print thing they wouldnt have it so everytime they foned sent letters i fort forget it.

Spent that 800 well nicely lolol 3 days i spent it in 3 days felt like a millionaire lol."

Eh????? You can't do stuff like that. Strange sounding fraud who parts with £800 mind!!

I bought an Apexi rev speed meter off eBay a few years back and out of the 500+ things my mams bought and sold on there it has been the only thing we've been scammed on. I must have looked dodgey..... :ffs:

my bank account got closed because of that fraudulent transaction! what do you think im gna do with £800 if i get my account shut down for fraudulent activity hand them the money back and have a ruined name u must be joking....

its been a year if they were protecting me ..firstly it wouldnt have happened and if i done so bad im sure they would have come knocking for it. i wouldnt scam someone but would it give them the right to scam me??? If i was foolish to send the phone off....erm would you have come and compensated me...please give it a rest.

the MR2 is the one with folded headlight , i think is mk2 non turbo
