hello and wot a great place this is!

ive gone mad with my petrol and filled my 1993 uk pervia with too much petrol!

i had a bit of a panic and got it towed up the road at the cost of £80......lol

there was loads of petrol and a drip......i came out today and not a single drip at all but the tank is still full.

drove it a good few miles from here..falkirk to stirling and back!

smell of petrol in cab but im thinking its due to the over fill more than anything else! i took it down to my local toyota and had a word with mechanic* and he said it was strange as not a drip when i was there and parked on a hill.lol.

anyhow parked it up the was a very small drip but not a running drip.

so does anyone know if this previa has a outlet to let a overfill out as im thinking its ran out wot was over now and that its fine

ive read a few posts on here about the pipe problems and to keep the tank to half way.

also do you think i should do a long trip of 200 miles to get my tank down to half?

all help taken..........thanks

There is a well known problem with the filler neck on these old girls. Not everyone suffers from it but they tend to corrode due to all the salt and other crud that gets thrown up by the wheels. Check the neck as it comes down from the filler hole to the tank.

I fill mine to the brim every time and have never had any problems.

I have also heard of the same problem with the filler neck, but I fill my to the top once a week and have not had any problems, if the pump clicks more than three times then I get a slight smell of fuel in the bus, so I let it click once and take it as full :)
