I was watching my speedo pointer getting higher and higher and wondered where it actually stopped?

When you get it off the clock does it stop just at the end of the dial or does it start wandering in front of the digital display? Anyone know?

I have noticed (on the Autobahn of course) that my speedo over reads by about 4-5 Mph at 90ish, proven by my Satnavs GPS based "actual" speed. The same was true on my Audi A4 so im not too worried, but it will definatly go off the top of the dial (again on the Autobahn only as the motorway speed limit in the UK is 70Mph for those of you who don't know) but only down hil with a following wind...........

Excellent. Sadly my German counterpart has only got his to 111mph in 4th down a big hill due to him wearing too tight lederhosen no doubt.

The car is is very overgeared in 2nd and 3rd and desperately so in 4th and 5th. Giving just a 1 litre 68bhp engine a potential 145mph top speed is interesting to say the least. maximum torque in 5th is at 80mph, how does that save petrol? Gearing should be 30,50,70,90 and110mph for the 5 gears.

Mind you, with tbe Rotex supercharger version you are laughing. Maybe Toyota should do an Aygo GTi. Sounds good to me.

Whilst reading the manual, (Not a very blokely thing to do I admit but I needed the tyre pressures and couldn't get to the sticker on the passenger door), Toyota give you two options, average speed of under 100 mph and average speed over 100 mph.

A bit optimistic I thought!!!
