Well I thought I'd pop my heard around the door as I have just bought a Rav4 and should be collecting it next week. I'm looking forward to the excellent fuel consumption of the 2.0 petrol and the very low cost for tyres and servicing it will make a nice change. I will post pics of the car once I have the car and have taken the pics :-)

Welcome to the club

Look forward to the pics!

What do you call excellent fuel consumption? Don't expect it to be too good at first will you.

Cheers

I part exchanged a Jaguar XJR 4.0 Supercharged which averaged 16.5mpg I will be really really gutted if the consumption isnt way better than that

I'm hoping the Rav4 is a lot less zippy, the Jag was 0-60 in 5.3 secs which meant it eat tyres as well as fuel. it was also capable of a lot more than the 155 it was limited to so it would be very easy to lose your licence in one. I bought it as I had wanted a Jag since I was a kid and my dream was to have an xjr, so its mission accomplished on that front and time to swap to something that doesnt go through 8 tyres in 20k miles especially when the tyres are £180 each. Everyone else is dropping their 4x4's because of running costs , I'm looking forward togetting mine to reduce my running costs :)

I did the same as you, I had a S type 4.0 before the rav, lovely car but now petrol has hit £5 a gallon with 5p a litre rises every 2 weeks with no end in sight i'm glad I got shot of it, £400 road tax too, ouch :!Removed!:
