Last December i bought a 2005 Corolla Van with 32k km on the clock with a small dent from

a main dealer over here in ireland

But since then i have noticed how poor the paintwork is getting on it,

I dont do huge mileage only 9k in the last 6 months on main roads etc

Its really bad on the front bumper and bonnet

Is it just my car or is the Toyota paintwork getting softer

I have had 2 other rollas before this one a 94 3dr and a 01 3dr

no problems at all with them but this one is doing my head in!!!!!! :ffs:

just wondering thats all

Any replies would be great

Cheers

I have a 2005 model too and can't say I've had any problems with the paint. Seems to be gleaming every time I wash it.

Has it had a full body paint job at any point that nobody has bothered telling you about? Try looking for overspray in areas.

the paint certainly seems a lot thinner - well it is a lot thinner. when you refer to the '94 model that was Jap built and the paint finish on them is far superior. you certainly wouldnt fancy cutting it back with a mop. the paint work on mine is gleaming but on close inspection you can certainly see thinner/lighter areas. my T Sport is in thunder grey and when you compare it to the Jap built Celica in thunder grey it's almost a different colour. What ever happened to British quality?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't most of them made in France? So isn't in French quality? :P

I do agree that paint is far thinner than it used to be.ANything to ruduce costs and improve profits I guess.

Can't say I've looked at any stickers on the windscreen. xD Mine wont have one anyway as I had to replace my windscreen a few months back.
