Now the warm weather is here.......

the window has come down,

the 80's cheese is on the stereo, (currently Tight Fit!!)

the elbow goes out the window and leans on the edge........PAIN !!!

Am I just the wrong size or does have Toyota deliberately fitted a window seal with a point!! I have to carefully balance my elbow on the inside of the door!

Morale : Remember to include the Elbow test in future test drives.....

I noticed that too... Fortunately I never drive with my arm out the window, as it makes

my (left) shoulder ache and since I have A/C I usually leve the windows up and run that...

The upwards lip is to keep water out of the door/car obviously, but on my Nissan 100NX the lip was

recessed into the door, so it DID point up, but the top of the lip was flush with tle inner door panel.

As an Aygo does not have door panels covering the entire door

I think this lip is the easiest AND cheapest way to seal the car...

It's apparently a safety feature on the Aygo.

It prevents you ending up with one tanned arm !

One way around it is to purchase one of those Gel wrist rest's from any Computer place, cut it to length , and stick it to the door panel where your elbow naturally would rest. It is a cheap way of getting some padding on an otherwise very hard door panel on the Aygo. It is what I have done to my Astra, and that works a treat, don't get sore elbows now when driving. I used silicon sealant (clear) to stick mine down, should come off fairly easily too when it is time to change the car.
