Hi All,

The next oil change is approaching quickly, Having seen the TRD Oil Filter on the Fensport Website, is there any benefit to fitting one of these over the standard Toyota filter?

from what i can gather they have a higher flow rate - the easier the oil flows the better i suppose. I have considered them a few times but i change me oil every 3k and the Blueprint filters are under £3. TRD in Japan dont make gimmicky or low end tuning parts and they seem to concentrate on reliable power. certainly wouldnt do any harm. best bet is too speak to Tony at Fensport - he's pretty good and doesnt advise on things that wont be of benefit to your set-up just to make a sale. Let us know what he advises as i'm on 42650mls at the mo so an oil change is due - certainly before the rolling road day.

Cheers Mike, I will get in touch with them and see what they advise.

not worth it, higher flow rate = bigger holes = worse filtration.

makes naff all difference.

unless there is a fundamental design difference, you can't argue with the laws of physics.

unless you can change the profile of the holes through the filter, bigger holes = less filtration.

their physic/ mechanic is far more better than british and USA

TRD only makes good quality stuff, and they have good repetition, they have plenty of experience... as far as i have seem everyone give good comment about their product.

Well, i would disagree. If you bother to cut one up. you'll find its the same as a denso, just rebadged.

a bit like the tte exhaust is rebadged remus.

At the end of the day it just filters oil. I can't see how one can be "better" than the other
