Hello!

I would appreciate any advice on fitting a socket for towing electrics. I'd like to wire it up myself, but I'm not sure how to do it. Do I just take a feed off the existing lights/brakes and run it to the towbar electric socket?

Sorry if this is a silly newbie question, but I'd really like to know how to do it myself!

The car is a 3rd generation Hilux Surf SSR-G.

Cheers,

Mart

you are right enough . you have to splice into the existing wiring at rear. you can do this at one rear cluster. and you only need to take one wire accross to the other side of the car. the new elecs will have diagram. u just have to identify the wire on the car. routing the wire will and should be the biggest hassle.
