iv got a black aygo and paid for the supagard.

I find that if i don't clear of any bird poo everyday it leaves dull marks on the black body that you cant get off no matter how you wash or polish.

:crybaby:

Has anyone else had any problems with their supagard?

I've got supagard on my Thunder Gray CTS and bird poo just washes off leaving no marks.

The better half has supagard on her Milano red Civic and again it just washes off leaving no marks

Are you sure they have applied the supagard?? - you should have a receipt and a 3 year guarentee (signed by the dealer and the guy who applied it)

That is the question!

I remember when I took delivery of my MR2 from new,I paid for Supagard, but what I got was a box with apparently some left over stuff, and the leather cleaner etc.But I noticed that along the panels in places there was still some adhesive left in thin lines at the edges(where the protective cover is in place during transport.

So,they either didn't apply the supagard or applied it very shoddily.

I suspect it was never applied,as the paintwork did not really behave as if applied.I just polished it and treated it myself to keep it pristine, and took the time to remove those little thin lines of adhesive.

The problem is that you cannot prove that they didn't apply the supagard-it's their word against yours.

I had supaguard applied by the dealer as part of the sales deal and am very pleased with it.

Note however that I was also given a case containing supaguard products including the renovator liquid and car wax.

The guarantee is only valid if you apply the top up every month.Supagard monitor sales to ensure that customers have purchased the top up product during the warranty period. This is stated on the warranty document.

Hope this helps.

If the bird crap has left marks it means the lime has burnt the paint :(

With what has been said I suggest you get back to the dealer and rocket them :ffs: :censor:

I have purchased Supaguard on a previous car and I know it is after the act but this product is really seriously over-priced and no better than a decent off the shelf polish/wax

If anyone is considering this product I suggest you save your money and buy a decent polymer product and do the job yourself

You can check whether Supagard was applied by contacting Supgard direct as the Dealer should have sent off a certificate to confirm that they have applied the product.

Drop them a mail CLICK HERE and check. If Supagard have no record of your car being Supagarded the Dealership may have taken a shortcut and used leftovers.

Depending on the pack you purchased you should have been given either:

  1. A small box of Supagard mild shampoos, or
  2. A bag containing a whole host of aftercare accessories inc. Bird Lime Remover

If you have neither of these it sounds as if your car was not Supagarded....

If Supagard was applied to your car make sure you do not polish your car as a polish will pull the Supagard off the vehicle!

I've had a black car with Supaguard and suffered the same problems you've described.

I think some of the chemicals in the bird poo migrates beneath the Supaguard and leaves a milky appearance.

If I remember the marks eventually disappeared (possibly evaporation)...

I would always remove bird poo at the first opportunity with lots of water (be careful not to rub hard or else the small grains in the poo will scratch the paintwork)

She's pretty hot in a sort of damsel in distress sort of way.

I'd love to drive that up to some of those Albanian traffic light window cleaners and see the look on their faces ...get scrubbin darlings ...

If supagard is applied properly bird lime will not get below it, if its not then its a waste of money....

make sure you get the guarentee and keep it safe...

What about WAX - will this also remove the supagard??
