See this Amercian website which in turn is looking at the Japanese spec.

Spare is now underneath.

Maybe we'll get similar in Europe.

Looks like the long wheel base version to me...

I'd be interested to see if Toyota bring the LWB version with 7 seats over here, I imagine that run-flats are here to stay a little longer... :crybaby:

Nah - I think they got it wrong. The guy sees no spare on back door and assumes it is underneath whereas it is probably just fitted with run-flats. Unless it is a SUPER-Skinny spacer, reckon it would be visible in the photo.

If the RAV is going to not have a spare wheel mounted on the rear-door, may as well have a full or split tailgate anyway. The rear door is to honest, hardely the best design feature of the RAV4s - especially without a spare fitted on it!

Thinking about it, with Nissan developing a seven seat Qashqai and LR testing a seven seat NedFlanders, maybe now is the time for Toyota to consider selling a seven seat RAV4 in Europe. :g:

Now the best think about a seven seat NedFlanders will be, there will more people available to help push, when it breaks down!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

I asked the question here about a year ago, and the consensus at the time was that it would hurt sales of the Corolla Verso too much. However, as said above there are going to be a few 7 seater SUV's launching soon, to join the 7 seater Mitsi Outlander and the French derivatives. So maybe we will see it soon?
