Hi folks

My missus just got her new Aygo.. lovely little motor.. quite nippy!

I have a question about GAP insurance

I was offered this for £299 from Toyota.. I said to them i would think about it as i wanted to get other prices online.

I managed to find a policy for £119 and another one for £124 for 3 years

Question is is GAP insurance really worth it?

is 3rd party cover as good as Toyota's own?

When I wrote off my 9 month old Yaris it was a godsend as it covered the 3 grand deficit between what I owed on the car to what the insurance thought it was worth... so instead of being 3k in debt for a product I no longer owned it was all paid off for me...

Got it on the next Yaris and now on the Aygo - its invaluable when you buy brand new IMO.

Just got it for my T-Sport.

Dealers sell fewer policies to fewer people which equals higher price, brokers sell more policies hence they are cheaper.

Make sure you pay by Credit Card.
