Removing Gloss Paint From Wheel Arches

Hi all.

Has anyone had any experience with removing gloss paint (think it’s gloss not vinyl) from the wheel arches of your car?? I know it’s a weird thing to ask, but the local sh1te, I mean kids, have poured paint all over the road and yours truly drove through it. It had been there for weeks so I thought it was dry only to find out after the said incident that they’d stolen some more paint and partially covered the same area. It had sprayed all down the passenger side of the car, which thankfully I’ve managed to remove with out trace from the paintwork, but the underside of the arches, especially the ’hairy’ rear ones are a real problem. I’ve tried everything but can’t seem to remove it, and think I may have to buy and replace the black plastic undersides :( Has anyone any ideas please??

I’m really passionate about my cars and this has deflated me somewhat :(

What I would do is to go down to Halfords buy some black spray paint (I think it is £6 a can) and just spray the inside of the arches again.

Should look good as new

The best thing to do is find the little sh1tes that did it and use their faces to scrub the wheel arches!

I'm pretty sure that will remove the paint!!

spray them black is the best option...as they are the furry kinda tings that stick on with dirt and stuff. i would just spray them black again..with a wash down. they would probably look cleaner aswell.

I’ve got one last idea on how to dissolve the paint from the undersides of the arches, which I’ll give that a blast tonight, otherwise Halfords it is!

Norfolk, I like your thinking! When I'm dictator you can be my minister of justice!

It happened at my mams house, so don’t know the local kids, but she reckons they’re no older than 8. I can’t even shout at them or I’ll wind up in trouble!

On a lighter note a 56 plate T-Sport pulled up opposite mine last night, stopping for a look. I don’t think it’s anyone on here though, which is a shame. I’d have gone out, but was dying with a hangover!:lol:

Cheers!!

It wouldn't be the first time that it's happened round here!

Well, defeat/ Halfords it is :(

I've had a look at how to remove it and I bet it's a right chew on!

Cheers!
