Independent Dealer In West Scotland Needed

Hi all,

Does anybody know of independent garages in the West Scotland area with Toyota as their field of experience? I would like someone to look at the RAV before the warranty is up, who is not connected to the main dealership ring, but has Toyota as their background. I used to use a small independent when I had a few Citroen's-not only were they half the price, they were as good as the dealers.

I use Marc at The Garage in Motherwell - they specialise in Jap cars and have experience in MR2s; Celicas; and my RAVs! If you phone and ask for Marc, saying big Ian recommended them, then I'm sure he'll give your car a quick check - they are very busy and very popular with guys who have performance cars. Marc knows his stuff and having worked on my 1994 RAVs, has a good idea of what goes wrong!! He's also got the wildest amount of kit for tuning/checking cars including digital/laser wheel alignment as they've just moved to larger premises. His number is 01698 265303. I don't get commission from him by the way! They did the 3SGTE swap into my 3 door and are doing my 2nd car too - the only such RAVs in Europe.

Other than that, its yer luck to find a Toyota mechanic who'll do work on the side. Marc has actually trained mechanics from dealerships on particular elements of Jap engines.
