My alarm keeps going off and i don't know why. Some days its fine, others it will go off quite irregularly.

I've got a '96 Gen 6 GT. Has/Does this happen to anyone else? Any suggetions to sort it?

Apparently, the Gen6 alarm is a bit sensitive when there's stuff in a coin tray / packet in the cabin area. Its been a long time since i've been in a Gen6 so don't remember specifics, but if you've got any coins, or sunglasses or anything in there, try taking them out for a while, and see what happens...

The alarm control unit should also have a sensitivity 'dial' that you can change as well, if you can find it...

Ah!

I have loads of coins in there lol!

I think i spotted sensitivity control box too when i changed my radio. Correct me if i'm wrong but is it the lil black box near the gear stick (when all trimmings are removed)?

From memory, that sounds about right! The box should have TVSS written on it somewhere - Toyota Vehicle Security System, and the dial should be a little rubber button that twists...
