Window Mechanism Problem

Hi all..

First off I'm a total cardonkey. I own a 1991 Starlet 1.3... my first ever car.

My darling ladyfriend did something with the drivers window yesterday. Says she heard a loud noise, now the window won't go up or down and is installed wrong.

I've found how to open the door panel from searching this forum. Question is... Is this too big a job for a cardonkey? Is changing the oil and filter too big a job too?

It's not a bad job to sort the windows out.

Sounds like it's come off the runners or ( worst case ) something's snapped in the mechanism.

You'll have to take the door trim off the door - usually fairly straight forward but be methodical and remember where all the bits came from and how to put it all back together.

^^^^^ what he said but starlets have a common fault in the window motors packing in my passenger 1 doesnt go down or up and driver 1 sticks sometimes lol murder!!!

im trying to take of my door card of a 97 starlet but a cant seem to get the window winder off. how can i take the door card off without taking winder off, unless anyone knos how to take winder off. need help ASAP
