Black Smoke From Exaust

My D4D is emiting black smoke from the exaust under normal driving, even more when accerating or changing gear. Doesn't seem to be using any oil and fuel cunsumption seems normal. I've tried running at high revs for half a mile or so. This clears it for a few miles but then it returns. Any ideas anyone please?

hello

check with T/C + suction filter first.

the black smoke is an indicator bad permormance of either T/C or injector nozzles.

cheers
