1998 Avensis Question

Hi all,

I'm just wondering at what mileage should the Sparkplugs in a 98 Avensis should be changed?

I bought the car off my father, and he used to get it serviced at an official dealer all the time, but money constraints on me means, backstreet garages have to do my services, i'm gonna get it serviced soon but was wondering should i get the sparks changed also.

I don't know when/if they were changed, the last Major service it got was at 67434 miles, it's now on 88500 with minor services between/ air/oil filter oil change etc etc.

I just want to know, should i get the sparks changed at this stage. Are they platinum or summat also? as this does make a difference..... its the original 98 engine, the good one, not the vvti or the other one that gave probs.

Sure, i booked her in for a service anyway, mechanics gonna check the spark gap anyway.
