Iv started to noticed a slight grinding noise coming from my brakes so i have a few questions. Firstly my car is a 04 CTS

1, What are the best brake pads to buy for the cheepest money?.

2, Are they easy to change ie do i need brake keys etc?.

3, Are brakes usually covered under warenty as i have an extended one on my car with The AA?.

Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

best and cheap dont really go together!

which pads depends on what you want to achieve and they wont be covered under warranty. if you need a hand or someone to show you what to do give us a shout and i'll pop round.

no worries mate, next time you need some parts i'll introduce you to where i go - bit cheaper than euro parts and they do really good prices on blueprint parts. Its a quick job on the pads and simple once you've seen. i'm at work this weekend but can come and see you one evening next week?

Brakes Hmmmmmm well i dont know much but i do know this, they will not be covered under warranty and if you get toyota to do it they will screw you over and charge you £600 quid to replace them, I would of thought if you dont stick with origionals your warranty may be invalid could be well off the mark here.

Changing your brakes doesn't affect you warranty in anyway. As it's general wear and tear.

I've added new brakes all around, Induction kit, alloys and lowering springs and it hasn't effected the warranty at all. :P

I actually need to change my brakes on the front at the minute. I'm thinking of EBC Redstuff Pads all around + EBC Vented Discs, Totals £117 including delivery. Can fit myself so no labour charges.

Hello mate where did you get that price of £117 from? Is it from a website?

Cheers

Alright bud,

It's from here.

EBCBrakesDirect

They're called EBC Brakes Direct but are just suppliers, not actually EBC themselves! The £117 includes a 10% discount + free standard shipping.

So if you want next day you have to pay an additional couple of £.

should have just changed them anyway? the pads start to make a noise when only half worn - but thats the time to change anyway. not worth letting them get low.....
