Any Opinions On 1993(ish) Corolla 1.6 Executive

Hi all

I've currently got a 1999 1.8vtec s accord, it's a very good car but drinks quite a bit of fuel. I've been looking for a cheap car to downgrade to and i've noticed a couple of 1993 - 1995 1.6 corolla executive's (liftback) on autotrader for very reasonable prices.

Has anyone owned one of these? what are they like?

I know it's a bit of a come down from the accord and they don't have air con or passenger airbags but it might just save me a few quid.

Don't know if it is any help, but have a look at the posts in "Anyone else have the same model Corolla"

We have the older version of the ones you are thinking about & to be honest, I prefer the shape of ours. Well, I would, wouldn't I?

Probably not much help, because when they change the specs of a car & give it the same model name, it doesn't mean better, or, of course, worse.
