Paint Code Number Location?

Does anyone know where I can locate the paint code number of my Prius, I've looked through all the paperwork I have & it's not obvious, presumably it's marked on the vehicle somewhere? I don't think it's part of the VIN number so it must be elsewhere.

my Prius is a NHW11 model(2000). My colour code is actualy in the engine compartment, together with the vin no. It is in the left side of the engine compartment, on a plate (10x8 cm).

Took a look (mine is a NHW20 model) in the cubbyhole that says frame number under the bonnet and all I can see is the VIN Number, there is no other code I can see.

Am I missing something? (wouldn't be the first time!)

Sorry, maybe your model has this ID plate somewhere else. My wife's car(SEAT) has a sticker in the boot of the car , under the floor carpet, where the colour ID is typed. Try it. Good luck with it...

there will be a plate somewhere (cant remember if its on the VIN plate or not sorry)

there will be a small section on the plate with a 'c' stamped on it. the paint code will the only 3 digits/letters ie 3P0,1F8 etc etc.

What colour is the prius?

Cheers Mart, found it on the N/S B pillar. 1CO is the code (sterling silver)
