Hello everyone,

I've had my little geisha since march and i think like most on this forum I have no complaints, a brilliant little car!

I was driving home from work today and someone ran infront of the car and I hit them. They walked away unhurt, pretty shook up, as I was too! Anyway they cracked the windscreen and hopefully Im gonna have that replaced in the next few days.

My question is; what happens to the bluetooth module that actually sits on the windscreen itself, Im pretty sure the RAC windscreen guys wont know what to do with it. Will it be straightforward to attach to the new glass..what should I do if anything

Would appreciate your thoughts on this.

Sorry to hear that this has happened.

I feel sure that the professional windscreen guys will know exactly what to do when changing your screen.

If you have any doubts, ask them about it before they start the work.

Glad to hear you and the pedestrian are OK. No damage on the bonnet???

As for the bluetooth thingie with the buttons; it's simply put up there with

double sided stickie tape, so it can easily be removed, cleaned and refitted.

No damage at all on the bonnet! thats what really amazed me. Im sure the design of the bonnet helped the passenger to escape any injury whatsoever. It was a relatively low speed impact, under 30mph, but the windscreen in the words of the poilceman looked as if it be smashed with a sledge hammer.

What a nightmare! Glad everything is turning out OK though.

Thanks, she ran out from behind a bus, not looking and in rush hour traffic. It was unavoidable, she was very lucky!

As said above, the bluetooth control is only held onto the windscreen with a piece of doublesided sticky foam. It will come off fine.

Thanks a bunch for your comments re the bluetooth module. As for the pedestrian, a transit or for that matter most other cars could have caused her a big problem. Not an experience i want to go through again either! On the plus side new windscreen goes in tomorrow and I can get back to enjoying my lovely new Aygo!

Cheers everyone.
