Finally I'm A Rav 4 Owner

Its taken a while but today I finally found a Rav 4 which was almost perfect. Was a fair trek away, 200 odd miles, but we went, fell in love and drove it away and its now tucked up in the garage. Its a black, 2003, XT3, 5 door. Its not got leather but that will come eventually. Apart from that it ticks all my boxes. I'll post some photo's up tomorrow.

On the look out for a diesel bonnet since this one isn't perfect and I prefer the look of the diesel bonnet with the vent. But reckon it won't be too difficult to pick one up from a scrappies. Also require 2 wing mirror covers since these are slightly cracked too.

Hi Lisa

I too have recently purchased my first Rav4, a 2003 silver 3door and am well impressed with it. As you will find from reading the forum, this site is excellent for advice and a smile!

Good luck with the Rav, Lel :)

Good stuff Lisa  if you are intending changing the mirror covers and you like bling, there are chrome ones available.

OH told me about the chrome ones today but I don't like the idea so I'll just get standard ones. I washed and polished her today, god, it took soooooo long! She's massive compared to my old car (MGF) However I'm really enjoying driving her and I'm actually quite surprised since she isn't as slow as I thought she would be. Also, I've got 312 miles out the first tank of petrol, so I'm really chuffed. I didn't take photo's today but I'll try to remember tomorrow.
