dont adjust it from the handbrake end - there is a screw on the hub of the disc, turn that until you achieve desired tension.

As above really. The best way to adjust the handbrake is to adjust the rear shoes (remove rear wheels to access the hole in the rear discs, there is a toothed wheel inside here that you adjust with a screwdriver or similar)

When that is done you can also adjust the cable itself from inside the car (remove the centre console, remove 10mm locking nut and adjust the lower nut until you have desired tension)

Bigshark.

As above mate, the description i gave was for cars with rear discs. ;)

You need to take the rea wheels off - you will then see a small rubber bung in the hub of the disc itself.

Remove the bung, rotate the disc so the hole is at the 6 o'clock position and the toothed wheel will be inside - just adjust with a screwdriver until you cant turn the disc, then adjust it the other way just enough so the disc will turn.

Any more questions just ask. :)
