Nice wheels, but is it just me or do they look a little too small for the car?

Doesn’t look quite right from the angle the picture is taken from.

they are 17" but i sized them up to the standard 16" wheels and they are smaller than the standards because they are on low profile tyres.

once i get it lowered it should look alot better.

You should have used 225/45 brother...

215/45 makes more difference to the stock tire size, compared to the 225/45.

225/45 is the most healthy measurements you can get, with the 17" wheels...

Nevertheless now i also use the 215\45 on 17" - it's ok.. but in a month will update with 18" and 225\40 tires.. 215\45 is ok for the 17, because it's only 1.7% difference (allowed difference is about 3%) - it's just an External view - when you got on 7" wide whell 225 or 215 fitted - in firest case it looks like a baloon (to wide for the rims) - in the second it's perfectly the same size as the rim is..

All above is my opinion)

But your wheels&tires look pretty normal to me, the black ones with red stripes. On the other hand, this seems very small. I'm confused...

Also check your private messages man! :D

How will a larger tire (225/45) make the wheel look bigger?

I mean, the tire will only get wider - not higher.

BTW, those BK333 are just awesome. Been looking at them for myself. Here's a link to the manufactorer: http://www.bkracing.co.uk/aspbite/alloy-wh...wheel.asp?ID=56

It would have, trust me... And this has been discussed already. The 225/45 17 is higher (has bigger radius) than 215/45 17

215 and 225 are width in millimeters, but 45 is tire height in % - 45 % of tire's width. So 225 * 45% = 101.25 and 215 * 45% = 96.75

So with 215 you have about 48.4 mm from the ground to the wheel curb and with 225 you have 50.6 mm from wheel curb to the tarmac.

Yepp that's correct. If you have 45 profile it is not same on every wheel. It has to be calculated by using the wideness of the wheel. The profile doesn't tell you anything by itself...

Best regards, Alex
