Its one of the advantages of owning a RAV from 1994! The other is to apply for DLA on the basis that yer now totally aff yer heid.

This was discussed back in March ;)

Link to that thread.

Blimey, just used your link and will keep the cost quiet from my hubby, I convinced him 4 to sell my KA (it was in his name) so that I had a deposit for my Rav4 by telling him that the insurance was the same as my old KA and the tax not that much more!!! OOPs, I really don't read things through propably, still no one is taking my Wooly (Ravs' name!) away from me now!

just tell him it is better fuel economy per door

Hmmm - 3 door - that won't work. Cheaper to Service? Hmmmm, that neither ....

You may have to let him drive it once to convince him :)

This BBC website on the Budget 2008 has a nice little table showing Car Tax rates, which is a damn sight easier to use than the direct.gov website!

Please remember they are still debating whether to screw, sorry apply, these rates to cars registered after (is it  ) March 2001.

Not sure about you guys, but my tax is due 1st June each year.

I intend to cash in the road fund licence end of Feb next year and declare SORN for 1 day, then change my mind and get new tax from March.

Save me £90 on next years RFL and £10 the year after.
