Absolutely gutted i got about three scratches down the drivers door. I have gone to a garage and they quoted me about £340 for three scratches :o why so much on three scrateches ??

i have tried T cuting and scratch remover which covers a bit but until washed again goes back to normal. Really dont want 2 spend that much as it can be spent elswhere. Also does any one know about protective film thats stops you getting scratches ??

advice much needed

How long/deep are your scratches??

I picked up a "touch up" kit from Mr T for £6 to sort my stone chips out.

I think they show the metal but should £300 plus really be right to pay ??

Is that for re-spraying the entire door??

£300 sprays a full TTE front bumper.

I'd be tempted to try the touch up kits, it comes with primer and paint so you can build up the layers of primer to match the depth of the paint.

Just depends how good you are with paints and what sort of finish you're after.

If you found someone thats good at wetsanding paintwork you could get them to touch it in a few times and sand it back it would surely save you 300 quid. Try on here www.detailingworld.co.uk stick a post up in the help section and there should be someone that could help you out close by.
