The entry list is out for Round 3 at Teesside this weekend, but unfortunately neither myself or Joe will be bringing our Aygos. I have a Celica to play with this time, while I wait for more tuning parts to become available for the Aygo.

My plan is to run the Celica maybe for the remainder of the season while preparing the Aygo for next year. I want coilovers, seats, maybe competition wheels and perhaps a trick diff if one becomes available, for starters :D

I'll write it up in the Celica forum so check there if interested.

Paul.

Fair play too ya waiting on the tuning parts for the Aygo, can wait till they are put into production.

Im guessing Joe is doing the same thing or?

Good luck with the Celica!

What date is the next event?

Our Motorsport division are now agents for Sparco products, ideal if you're looking for seats and belts etc

LINDOP MOTORSPORT

They are brand new agents so there is nothing on the website as yet, however you can use the "Contact Us" button to send an email for prices etc

PaulT is right -- I won't be bringing Project Aygo to Teesside this weekend. First of all, I am now driving an Auris SR180 in the series on behalf of Toyota GB for the rest of the season. Secondly, my wife is due to give birth in under three weeks and wouldn't be able to follow me in the Auris all the way from West Sussex to Newcastle. Thirdly, I'm now trying to keep the Aygo off the road as much as possible to keep it pristine ready for giving away in our massive competition. Look out for details of how to enter in the August issue, which will be out 17 July.

I'm never going to get a ride in it at this rate if you are giving it away, unless you give it away to me of course. You'd be better giving the Auris away now that you have a new makeshift nursery and changing room in the back of the Aygo after removing the seats :D

Good job your not going, Newcastle is TYNESIDE and you would have overshot by about 35 miles!!!, or maybe thats just the stopping distance in a modified aygo??? :)

PS had my Blue for almost 6 months now. The idea was that it would be the day to day car and my scenic would only be used when all 5 of us in the car. for some reason the wife likes the scenic so i'm left to drive the aygo. works for me!!!!!!!!!! what a great car

Straight in with the abuse

Actually, my plan is a good one. The Celica has slightly less bhp/tonne than Joe's Aygo, and although it is quite a bit heavier the chassis is sound and it corners well on R888s. I think it will show us the sort of performance that a sorted Aygo could produce.

Fingers crossed :D

Paul.
