Autocar Article On Next Prius

Not seen the article, but it mentions things I've read elsewhere.

But from that article it seems the lighter batteries and plug in capability won't be available at launch - and they're needed to make the car popular with more buyers (me for one).

There seems to still be a large gap between the Prius and the Lexus Hybrids - I really want something in the middle i.e. more power than a Prius, but not as much as the GS450h. I hear they're fitting the Hybrid system to Camry's (in Australia I think). That'll narrow the gap, but I really want something smaller with about 150 to 200bhp and good fuel consumption. I think the only thing to fit that criteria will be a diseasal unfortunately.

That smaller (or maybe it's too small) and fast car is a BMW 120d coupe diesel maybe?

120d does about 59mpg and 0-60 in an unheard of 7.6 secs for the mpg
