The belt on the left side of the engine bay is developing a light squeal on initial start up but then goes away. its the belt that can be clearly seen, is that the timing belt or cam belt? So can this be tightened easily or is it a sign of the belt going?

Thanks guys

the timing belt and cam belt are the same belt (just different name) what you can see should be the auxilary belt, ie drives alternator and AC (if fitted) i believe there is a tensioner for that belt just below the alternator and should be relatively easy to tighten with a simple socket set (i think it's a 12mm socket)
