Clutch Change

want to change clutch on my gen 7 celica 1.8 vvti 2000 model does anyone know if i can take out the clutch without removing the subframe underneath i have heard you have to do that seems a lot of work just to change clutch any tech help would be gratefull

Del you can do it without moving the sub-frame, just by removing the cross member. When you drop the G/box, watch for fouling! It makes the job trickier, its easy just to remove the sub-frame. Otherwise, you'll run the risk of putting excessive strain on the mountings trying to get the angle for the g/box drop. Don't be put off by the sub-frame removal job. Its only nuts and bolts!! :D
