Hello all you sat nav experts!

I have a 2003 d4d T4 with the tns 200 sat nav system. Also supplied with the car when I got it is a tns 300 cd rom of europe. When I tried to play the cd rom in the system it would not play it, it just said on display "check cd rom". So I replaced with the original tns 200 cd rom and no problem. So my question is, should a tns 300 cd rom work in a tns 200 system? Any ideas greatly appreciated. Cheers, Jed.

Unfortunately it will not work. You can use TNS-200 CD-ROM's only with your system (TNS-300 runs from DVD-ROM).

The real question is can your Satnav read dual layer DVD-ROMs. I have 2004 (Feb 04) T4 and it definitely works with TNS 310 recorded on a dual layer DVD-ROM (2006-07 update). If you can confirm that your satnav is NOT DVD but CD player then you have your answer.

As stated, the TNS 200 is a CD the TNS 300 is a DVD
