Ok people, i've been told so many different things on this so can anybody give me a definite answer?

My car is a JDM toyota starlet glanza V 1996 there is no uk equivalent of the car with the 4ETFE engine and the 4ETFE engine was never put in a toyota for the UK market.

So what emission test has it got to pass for the MOT?

I have benn told that it's only an idle test BUT i had mine MOT'd the other day and it failed one the high idle test.

I didn't argue with the guy as it's running a de-cat pipe so i've put the cat back in and will try it again but if it fails this time then what do i do and is he putting it through a test it doesn't have to pass??

Any help would be most appreciated
