My Platinum So Far...

This car replaces my W-plate 1.5i Nissan Almera yet i find myself asking the same question - why didn't i just get this car instead of that bottomless money pit that was my Almera? LoL

The car is an absolute riot! If there was such a thing as Smiles-per-Gallon then this would be right up there with the best of them... It's basic, got everything you could ACTUALLY need, therefore making it lightweight which helps make it nippy and agile and a surprisingly good motorway cruiser...

Couple of niggles really - the gearshift knob is the size of a mutton chop and the gaiter keeps sliding down, there are times when its hot and sunny and me wishing "i should've got A/C" but that's very occassional and finally there's quite a bit of body roll in the corners but that's only when you totally cane it and as its barely 2 months ld let alone 1 year old i don't wanna be over zealous with it just yet!

The dealership i've been dealing with have been totally shambolic and disgraceful really - trying to write up an "eventful" review of the whole experience however i've pm'd Steve about it as the site comes up with a mad error message so hopefully i can write up my experiences in the hope that, both for everyone and certainly myself, are not put through that again.

The car? Excellent in every way

The Dealership? The After Sales? The Customer care? Crap in every meaning of the word

To end on a high note, can't wait to get more goodies fitted to the car like Toyota iPod adaptor, spoiler of some variety, MAYBE even some aspects of the TTE bodykit - but that's a long way away!

Your certainly spot on about the car, I have just bought a brand new platinum (well its now 2 weeks old) and I love it.

I have had some extras added to the care already TTE rear silencer (even with the standard bumper looks very cool) and it purrs like a kitten! I have also had a rear spoiler fitted this is not a TTE one its slightly smaller but I think anything bigger would be to much. I have had the rev counter added on too (feel lost without one) and mats and mud flaps (which I thik are essential).

I have to say I am lucky as my boyfriend works for Toyota so I got an amazing deal on the care, parts and the fitting of those. I am really sorry to here that you had a bad buying experience but glad that you are more than happy with the care.

I have got rid of my 04 plate clio diesel and was really nervous to change as although the car was nothing special it was cheap to take and to run. But the Aygo has really impressed me on that front to and it has saved me alot of money on insurance.

Like you I am chuffed at how light and nippy it is and as you say cruises the motorway well which i think is amazing.

My brother (works for Peugeot) tried to tempt me with a 107 which would have saved me a couple of grand. I think that the Aygo is certainly better looking and I think you pay for the quality

Could i ask you a MASSIVE favour? Could you make a video recording of your car idling & possibly revving it a wee bit for me please? I don't wanna buy an exhaust system until i know what the TTE silencer sounds like...

I will give it a go, its still really new so I think the sound will improve the more I drive it, its already sounding better than when it was fitted last week.I will try and get the spoiler in too it looks really cool.
