Couldn't find a pictures section

So here's the new toy. It's not mine, but the other halfs. A Citroen C1 Rhythem. Nice little motor. 07 Reg with 4,400 miles on the clock. She's had it a month and not gave it a clean yet, so decided to clean it myself whilst she's at work.

Overall, the paintwork is it great condition, a couple of chips on the bonnet, a scuff on rear quarter from previous owner and a scratch near the center brake light (god knows how that has got there).

I mentioned to our lass that it should have no swirl marks, but all depends on how the last owner cleaned it. There's a few light marks, but as I said, all in all, very good condition.

Nice little motor to drive. Nippy, 70 in 2nd gear :D. Quite surprised by it to be honest. Just gonna get summat on it to reduce body roll, upgrade brakes, and hopefully, talk her round to spending £4,500 to supercharge it :D

Oh I am sorry  .... I must have taken the wrong turning and opened the wrong door  I really was looking for the Aygo forum

Good grief.... Seats, Citroen C1's.... what is the Toyota Owners Club coming to :help::rolleyes: ;)

The only thing that I like about the C1 design is the way they have incorporated the petrol filler flap.

Other than that it is not a patch on the Aygo design :)

cheers for comments. Nowt wrong wi Seats ;)

Must say, I prefer the Aygos rear lights to the C1s

i think theyre quite smart, but eotd theyre the same car... im not a fan of the front or rear lights on the c1, i think the aygo rear end is more curvy... curves are in

looks beautifully clean tho! tis a shame about the few scuffs etc but i guess thats what you expect on a 2nd hand car! :D

yeah, true.

had a look at it. The scratch above the tailgate will need touching up, the scuff my get away with T-Cut and maybe next door neighbour could bring his Rotary Polisher thing home and give it a fix

As for stone chips, they're bound to happen, but may look for a bonnet bra :D

Looking good  I prefer the C1 to the Pug 107 but the Aygo is definately the better one of the three ... i think they all look great when theyre clean ... maybe i should spend the afternoon cleaning mine so that it can rain (usually does!) once i'm done :D

The only thing that I like about the C1 design is the way they have incorporated the petrol filler flap.

Unfortunately this design also has a mayor downside: the flap is much closer to the actual filler neck, so positioning the fuel

pistol can be tricky and the hook on the fillerflap to put the cap on is WAY too small and too close to the pistol to be effective.

But If I have to chose between a C1 and a 107, I'd go for the C1 too.

Luckily I could also choose Aygo; as Aimee said; curves are in!

I thought the only difference between the C1 and the 107 were the badges (obviously) and the black rear lights? If I couldnt have an Aygo I would have the 107xs in white, no black...no defo white!

I was only joking guys.... I find it great that owners of other cars, especially the C1 and 107, should drop by for a visit :)

Oh and I rather like the cars that SEAT are producing :P

i think its quite nice to have other 107/c1 owners on here... its not like we have anywhere else to discuss our wonderful little motors :D after all, theyre of the same consistency! lol

and so you should.

I'm thinking of saving and buying a Mk5 Cupra, due to be released about June 2010!!!

Always liked the Mk3 tho (what I have now), just need the cash for a Cupra :D

Toyota do some nice cars, although I can't think of anything off the top of my head that I'd have! My mate had an old Carina 2 which was a bargin, and nothing went wrong! Also drove my dad's Celica (140bhp), that was nice, but I found myself too tall to sit comfortably (my spiked hair touched the roof lining :D)

That might be the case for the new range but old school Toyota's is where its at..

Supra

GT4

MR2 Turbo

Galanza

true, would definately agree with the MR2, used to love them when I was younger and the supra aswell.

but over the past few years, I've really gotten into the VAG range of things, doesn't mean I don't appreciate other cars, it's just my thing. I guess it's the same with some guys on here!

Every car maker and model of car has their good points and bad points. There's no "right or wrong" car, just a case of what makes you smile when you look out of the window in a morning and see your pride and joy sat there :D

Maybe one day, when I have loads of money to afford a huge collection of cars, i'll get some Jap in my collection. Something along the lines of the Honda NSX should be fun :D Until that day tho..........

Bro.. im driving a Bora TDi these days.. cant beat the VAG group for the TDi engines! ;)

Posted

Indeed. Mate has a Mk4 Ibiza 1.9 TDi FR (130bhp standard). Now running aabout 202 and 360ft lb Audi are developing a Diesel R8 aswell ;)

Posted

Diesel R8 is something truly stunning and even wtf economical too!

We have had Auris T180's chipped to over 550nM of torque... a good cheap to run motor way rocket. Suburu have a good TDi engine but no decent car to put it in.

If you took off the badges you could only distinguish the backs by the taillights.

Ad even then: these are exchangable and I know of may owners that have done so...

The fronts are WAY different, the C1 has a more rounded nose, whil the 107 appears

to be more tapered from the side. The Headlamps on a 107 are more triangular and

the grill around the bumper looks more like a smile than the C1 does...
